This collection is part of the Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros, found in the Instituto dos Arquivos Nacionais da Torre do Tombo under section Arquivo dos Serviços Centrais, Passaportes. The call numbers are Books 362-371 and represent passports registers that contain information about those that requested emigration passport between 1752 to 1848. These books are very organized with aproximately 3-5 passports entry per page and they contain their record number. Most entries provide personal information about the individual applying to emigrate and some information about any accompanying individuals.
